Hannah Lynch’s sister Esme described her sibling as “endlessly caring, maddeningly mad, accidentally hilarious” in an emotional tribute this afternoon.
Family and friends of Hannah and Mike Lynch, who died when their luxury yacht sank off the coast of Sicily, have previously said they were “devastated” and said the 18-year-old girl was “taken on the downswing of her life”. “Cruel beyond belief”.
Tributes have flooded in for the pair after the body of the last person believed to be missing Hannah was washed ashore on Friday.
The Bayesian sank in a storm near the Sicilian capital Palermo on Monday while on a trip to celebrate Mr Lynch’s acquittal in a fraud case in the US.
The six missing are British tech entrepreneur, his daughter Hannah, Morgan Stanley International Bank chairman Jonathan Bloomer, his wife Judy Bloomer, Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife Neda Morvillo.
Of the 22 passengers and crew on board, 15 – including Mr Lynch’s wife Angela Bagares – were rescued after escaping in lifeboats. Regalto Thomas, the boat’s cook, was confirmed dead on Monday, while the bodies of the six missing men were recovered from the wreck later in the week.
‘Smart, caring and beautiful’: Tributes to Hannah Lynch after body recovered
Friends have paid tribute to the “smart, caring and beautiful” daughter of tech tycoon Mike Lynch after her body was recovered from an Italian ferry disaster.
Hannah Lynch was one of 22 people aboard her father’s luxury yacht Bayesian when it capsized during stormy weather on Monday. Italian rescue teams recovered his body, the last of six people found on Friday after a five-day search.

Bayesian conundrums drowning naval oceanographers
The sinking of the spacecraft has baffled naval experts.
They say that a Bayesian-like boat built by Italian high-end yacht manufacturer Perini should weather the storm and not sink as quickly as it did under any circumstances.

Wreck recovery operations are estimated to cost up to €15m
The Bayesian shipwreck salvage operation could cost up to €15 million, according to local reports.
Towing the superyacht from the sea could help investigators figure out what happened, but the operation would be complicated and expensive.
South African engineer Nick Sloane, who led the salvage operation for the Costa Concordia cruise ship that sank in 2012, told daily La Repubblica on Friday that it will take six to eight weeks, including preparatory work, to complete. By mid-October, without specifying the reasons for the timing.
Bringing the boat to the surface would have to be done “very, very slowly” and could take up to two days, he said.

Who was Bayesian?
British tech tycoon Mike Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter Hannah were initially among the unknown after his superyacht Bayesian capsized in a storm off the coast of Sicily early Monday morning.
After a decade-long legal battle that saw him extradited to the United States to face an $11 billion fraud case, Mr Lynch celebrated by inviting close friends, colleagues and aides to join his legal team on his yacht. gratitude

‘The Bayesian crew had 16 minutes to avoid a fatal sinking,’ says the boss of the boat builder
A Bayesian superyacht crew must avoid sinking in 16 minutes, says the boss of the yacht’s builder.
said Giovanni Costantino, chief executive of Italian Marine Group, which owns boatbuilder Perini Navi. Financial Times: “The torture lasted for 16 minutes. It did not decrease in a minute as some scientists claimed. It fell in 16 minutes. You can see it from the charts [Automatic Identification System] Observation Chart.”
He continued: “The captain must prepare the boat and keep it as alert and safe as the boat itself [Sir Robert Baden Powell] Anchored 350 meters away, it was built and handled in 1957 [weather] A wonderful event.”
The FT said it had checked that Mr Constantino’s times matched the AIS data, but could not at this stage confirm his speculation about what happened.
