Spike Lee likes Aaron Judge taking out the fence on a spectacular catch
Running back Aaron Judge takes extra bases from the Dodgers and Spike Lee likes it.
Manager Aaron Boone said the reigning AL MVP is getting treatment on his foot. Boone said he doesn’t think Judge should go on the injured list, but they will monitor it over the next couple of days.
The Yankees have Monday off before returning home to begin a six-game homestand against the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday.
“He was really sore last night and this morning. He was moving a little better this afternoon,” Boone said.
J.T. When Martinez’s liner into the right field corner with Max Muncy at first base with nobody out, Judge knocked on the door of the visiting bullpen. Judge made the catch immediately before the bull ran into the door, which opened partially as he struck it.
The Yankees won 6-3.
Boone said before Sunday’s game that he hoped the Dodgers or MLB would address adding padding to the concrete step below the bullpen door.
Judge leads the American League with 19 home runs, including 13 in his last 19 games. He is batting .348 with 24 RBIs through May 13.
