George Santos Latest News: Congressman accused of making fun of Hitler, Jews and black people on Facebook.

A Brazilian man claiming to be Rep. Jorge Santos’ ex-boyfriend appeared on CNN and said Mr Santos had always only cared about “fame and power” and expected him to continue to reject calls for his resignation.

Pedro Vilarva had previously said she had an affair in 2014 when Mr Santos was 18 and the future congressman 26 – and that their relationship was dishonest on Mr Santos’ part.

Elected to the U.S. House in November and sworn in earlier this month, the Republican faces an avalanche of allegations that he lied about various aspects of his identity and past and engaged in questionable campaign finance practices.

On Tuesday, the House Speaker kicked Democrats Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell off the House Intelligence Committee.

Meanwhile, Mr Santos has been given roles on the House Small Business Committee and the House Science, Space and Technology Committee.

In an interview with MSNBC on Thursday, Mr Torres described Mr McCarthy’s actions as “inexplicable”.

“It is the height of hypocrisy that Speaker McCarthy removed two members in good standing from their caucuses — Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell — while appointing a total fraud and fraudster like Jorge Santos to a caucus.”

He added: “This is an act of disruption to the company.”

Another headache is coming for George Santos, thanks to redacted records submitted to the FEC this week.

The embattled New York congressman already faced calls for his resignation or ouster — from both parties — ahead of his filing with the Federal Election Commission this week. Now, those filings are becoming the source of problem after problem, each with the potential to violate the law.

The latest issue, flagged by reporters with ABC News on Thursday, stems from several fundraising groups working on behalf of the Santos 2022 campaign filings with the agency indicating a change in the person appointed as treasurer to the committees. Those groups are now listed as overseeing their financial operations by Thomas Datewiler, a longtime expert on political campaign finances.

But there’s just one problem: Mr. Datewiler adamantly told ABC News that Santos was not working for the campaign, and had in fact told them that before the FEC filing was submitted.

George Santos has flipped New York’s 3rd Congressional District seat in the November midterm elections in Washington DC’s political scene, once a reliably Democratic seat. But soon, reports surfaced that many of the things on his resume and life story told to the public weren’t strictly true. Santos refuses to stand aside as the controversy mounts, but how long can that position last?

Jorge Santos filed a revised financial disclosure form with the FEC on Tuesday, minutes after reporters and election law experts noticed some glaring issues. For starters, there are two loans – $500,000 and $125,000 – that have not been identified as coming from Mr Santos’ personal funds.

And then there’s the oddly high number of donations under the $200 threshold — which immediately raises questions about their legitimacy.

As the story of his visit to Washington continues, the New York congressman seems to have another set of questions to answer.

Jorge Santos took to Twitter to say the media was trying to “smear” him as he attacked what he called “fake posts” and “clown” interviews.

“From interviewing clowns to making fake “recordings” the media kept spinning as their attempts to smear me failed. Finishing the work I signed up for, you all are out of control,” he tweeted late Thursday.

He did not elaborate on what he was referring to, but his comments came as Patch’s new report accused him of mocking Hitler and killing Jews and black people.

In a 2011 comment on Facebook obtained by Patch, Mr Santos wrote: “hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitlerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (Heide Hitler) lololololololololololololol sombody will kill her!! Jews and blacks mostly lollolol!!! Dum.”

A former roommate of Mr Santos confirmed the validity of the store’s account and said the congressman often made anti-Semitic remarks. Mr Santos’ lawyer told Patch the Facebook post was “absolutely false”.

The allegation comes after the congressman was previously caught lying about being Jewish and his grandparents fleeing the Holocaust. He later retracted the claims saying he was “Jewish”.

Long Island’s Gold Coast is known to many as the setting for a story about a fictional character who creates fantastic stories about his past and climbs the ranks of New York’s high society in a relentless search for his will.

I am of course talking about Jorge Santos.

Jorge Santos’ colleagues in the House will end up being the final arbiters of the scandal-plagued New York Republican Party.

Despite the flurry of revelations surrounding his past and present fabrications and lies, the bewildered congressman is determined to stay in office. Even as members of his own party called for his ouster, Mr Santos stood firm.

But none of that matters if the machinations of the US House of Representatives conspire against him.
